Bourck Cashmore, M.D. performs upwards of 100 hip and knee replacement surgeries each year. A board-certified surgeon, he is one of few surgeons in the state trained, skilled and expertly performing robotics-assisted surgeries, anterior hip replacements and hip arthroscopies, with great outcomes. Patients appreciate staying close to home for their surgical care, rather than having to travel to Phoenix.
A member of the Arthritis and Fracture Care Center, Dr. Cashmore specializes in joint replacement, trauma/fracture care, and sports medicine arthroscopy and reconstruction. He has sub-specialty interest in adult reconstructive surgery which includes total hip and knee (primary and revision) arthroplasty. He incorporates special training in minimally invasive techniques for the hip and knee, and offers partial-knee replacement; total hip replacement (THR) also known as total hip arthroplasty (THA) including anterior and posterior approaches. He has had great success with robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery, allowing for better precision and placement of the implant based on each patient’s unique anatomy. Dr. Cashmore has further sub-specialty interest and extensive surgical training in hip arthroscopy for treatment of femoral acetabular impingement and labral tears. He is the only orthopaedic surgeon currently providing hip arthroscopy surgery in northern Arizona and one of few in the state. He’s had extensive surgical training, experience and a good track record for outcomes with this special surgery, usually performed on younger, active adults. Hip arthroscopy is an effective treatment for some of the injuries resulting from high levels of sports or athletic activity. He’s been performing hip arthroscopies since 2008.
Also to note, during his residency, he was in the top one percent honors and was named Orthopaedic Resident Instructor of the Year (1997).
Dr. Cashmore practices in Flagstaff and is also a visiting specialist, with a clinic, in Page. He and his wife Renee, are the parents of three children. In their spare time, they enjoy skiing and mountain biking.

Dr. Cashmore In The News
“I strive to treat my patients with the same courtesy, respect, and care I extend to my family. My satisfaction in medicine comes from seeing my patients happy, healthy and active again. ”
”I had a severe hip injury. Couldn't find a doctor in my area that would believe me. So I drove two and a half hours to see Dr. Cashmore. I'm so glad I did. The MRI didn't really show anything. He observed me for a time and when my symptoms didn't resolve, he did an exploratory surgery. I was scheduled for three hrs. He stayed and worked on me for 6 hrs. There was a big mess and a lot of grafting to do. Because he's so meticulous, he found things other surgeons might've missed. Thank u!“
”Dr. Cashmore- Hip replacement on 89 year old Dad. Surgery 100% successful. Only been 3 months and back to full mobility and has quality of full life again. Put away walkers and canes!! Thanks!! Awesome! Great!“
”Dr. Cashmore did an excellent job with my bi-lateral hip replacement surgeries. I was at the point of being unable to walk around a city block, and can now hike the Grand Canyon! My surgeries were 6 weeks apart, and Dr. Cashmore was professional, caring, and skilled with each one. I had no complications, and was up and walking the day after surgery. Excellent surgeon.“
