News Release: NAO donates $3,500 to local HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS

This past weekend, volunteer physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists and support staff from Northern Arizona Orthopaedics (NAO) and DeRosa Physical Therapy (DPT), helped 175 student athletes begin their 2016-2017 school year ready to begin playing their sports.

Each athlete was charged only $10 and matched by NAO, an independent orthopaedic practices which shares a philanthropic initiative to donate to the athletic programs at Flagstaff high schools. A total of $3,500 will be gifted this year. The funds will support the school’s athletic programs, including fees, training, travel, equipment, uniforms, and financial help for athletes who may be financially burdened by the general costs of playing their sport.

Many thanks to the numerous volunteers who devoted their weekends to ensuring our student athletes start their season off right; healthy and injury-free. This is just another way Northern Arizona Orthopaedics and DeRosa Physical Therapy, inside the Summit Center, are collaborating through partnered events to enhance the musculoskeletal care provided in our community.
