A fracture is a broken bone and can be very painful or traumatic. Sometimes, a break may indicate a problem bone loss or brittle bones, called osteoporosis. The Arthritis and Fracture Care Center hosts an expert team of surgeons and PAs, skilled in helping investigate and treat the effects of aging bones. The team even provides care and education to prevent further damage.

Urgent Ortho

For broken bones from a recent (less than 1-month-old) injury, patients visit our walk-in, first-come-first-served clinic inside the Summit Center. No need to wait at the Emergency Room. Open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. this service provides expert, specialized ortho care, Xray and even surgery, all in one location.

Orthopaedic Trauma

Orthopaedic Trauma is a branch of orthopaedics that involves treating bones, joints and soft tissues injured from a traumatic incident. The majority of trauma treatment involves healing fractured bones. At Northern Arizona Orthopaedics, we have doctors who specialize in rapidly responding and treating trauma in emergency situations.

Flagstaff Medical Center’s Trauma Services has partnered with NAO to ensure all trauma patients are cared for immediately. There is always a surgeon on call, 24/7, to ensure all trauma patients receive the critical care they desperately need.
